Hear Frankie's story

Right now, a mother pig stands confined in a metal crate barely wider than her body. She hasn’t been given a name, but we’ll call her Frankie.

She can't turn around or take more than a single step forward or back. These crates are so small, that she can’t even lie down properly. She’s been trapped here throughout her pregnancy.

Now she’s given birth. Though she has powerful maternal instincts, she can't build a nest for her piglets or nurture them the way nature intended. She spends months like this, on cold concrete, unable even to nuzzle her babies properly through the metal bars. This is the reality for millions of mother pigs in factory farms.

But the good news is we can help protect pigs, and other factory farmed animals, from these kinds of intense confinement and other cruel practices.
